Our officers swiftly responded to an Aggravated Assault call at Taco Bell on E 5th Street. Witnesses and the victim recounted a disturbing altercation unfolding in the drive-thru involving a dispute over who was there first. The tension escalated when the suspect brandished a revolver, firing a shot towards the victim. It's chilling to think how a trivial disagreement spiraled into such a dangerous situation. On 3/15/24, we responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 504 E. 6th. The caller reported hearing sounds indicating someone might be inside her house. Upon arrival, our team thoroughly searched the premises but found no intruders.It appeared that the front door may have been blown open by the wind, contributing to the caller's concerns. On March 13th, just after 10 am, Tyler Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at Liberty Arms Apartments located at 2601 N. Broadway. Inside one of the apartments, a 3-year-old child had been shot in the buttocks. The child, alert and awake, was swiftly transported to UT Main in Tyler by EMS. Tyler PD officers located the suspect, Darius Jubarne Davis, a 30-year-old male from Tyler, on 26th St., across the street from the apartment complex. Davis was apprehended and taken into custody. Officers responded to an individual that was reportedly involved in damaging a caller's vehicle. Upon our arrival, the individual had already left the scene on foot. We initiated an investigation but couldn't locate them at that moment.Subsequently, we received several more calls within the hour reporting the individual, now unclothed, knocking on neighbors' doors in the vicinity. 🔥 TPA Snapshot: Saving a person and their house 🔥

On 3/13/24, we responded to a distressing situation where an individual attempted to set their house ablaze by pouring lighter fluid in and around it. Officers arrived to detain the individual, who was naked and combative. Thankfully, the fire was prevented, and the individual is now in custody after hospitalization. #SafetyFirst
