🚔 TPA Snapshot: Aggravated Assault 🚔

Our officers swiftly responded to an Aggravated Assault call at Taco Bell on E 5th Street. Witnesses and the victim recounted a disturbing altercation unfolding in the drive-thru involving a dispute over who was there first.

The tension escalated when the suspect brandished a revolver, firing a shot towards the victim. It's chilling to think how a trivial disagreement spiraled into such a dangerous situation.

Thanks to the vigilance of our officers and the cooperation of a constable, the suspect was apprehended moments later in front of Posados. He will face charges of Aggravated Assault and will be booked into the Smith County Jail.

We're relieved to report that no injuries were sustained during this harrowing incident. However, it serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of law enforcement and the bravery required to keep our community safe.
